With my 16 year old son Nicholas. We stayed in Albany, NY and drove a little over an hour each day from Thursday through Monday. Each day I wanted to drive to New York City and check out the sights but my son insisted we go back to Cooperstown. I said ok but Monday we are going to New York City needless to say Dad didn’t get his wish and we returned to Cooperstown because he insisted we go to the HOF Game. A decision I’m thankful we did, yes they don’t use their front line pitchers and we all knew that but the game was a highlight anyway, especially seeing the ballplayer from the Texas Rangers call his shot and on the next pitch he jacked it out just where he called it. WOW a great memory my son and I still talk about almost 9 years later. Please keep those future moments between Father and Sons/Daughters alive. We are from Newton, Kansas and we are planning another trip to the HOF soon.Mape1http://www.blogger.com/profile/06519402421032421440noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7860944245953576101.post-83797508181823228302008-02-13T20:13:00.000-05:002008-02-13T20:13:00.000-05:00I think that MLB needs to realize the cost of nto ...I think that MLB needs to realize the cost of nto having young kids at games - who is going to support baseball in 20 years if they've never been to a game? This is a great low key, affordable way for kids to experience baseball, from the parade to the home run derby, to say nothing about the game. Even our 4 y.o. daughter loved the game last year and wanted to go to more games because of the Cooperstown experience.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7860944245953576101.post-1297364232461948272008-02-12T18:38:00.000-05:002008-02-12T18:38:00.000-05:00I traveled to Cooperstown with my four year old so...I traveled to Cooperstown with my four year old son. That was six years ago. I recently moved to central New York. I thought the game would be something we could do forever. It's so sad. I'm a life long baseball fan and all the fans need join together. We have supported baseball through its dark times. They should give the back to us. I also caught a homer from Al Oliver!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
